FAQ

What kind of food do you serve?

We have two restaurants:

Madame Vo serves Yen and Jimmy’s homestyle comfort foods, featuring critically-acclaimed noodle soups, clay pot stews, eggrolls and springrolls, chicken wings, and other regional specialties. Yes, we have pho, and vegan pho!

Monsieur Vo is an elegant and modern Vietnamese meat and seafood restaurant in the East Village that spotlights street food and Vietnam’s ăn nhậu culture, referring to the beloved tradition of celebrating and bonding over savory foods and plentiful drinks.

Is Vietnamese BBQ the same as Korean or Japanese BBQ?

If you know Korean of Japanese BBQ, you’ve probably seen tabletop grilling before. Vietnamese BBQ is a different cuisine that is typically enjoyed at home, using charcoal grills, rather in restaurants. We wanted to share the kind of grilling we grew up with, as well as a very traditional feast of beef 7 ways (bo bay mon), which we offer as a seven-course tasting menu.
